Paul Holland - Delivering Technology Growth Results

As general partner with Foundation Capital, Paul Holland has overseen rapid growth in early stage tech startups. He has a disciplined approach to selecting motivated teams with viable go-to-market strategies and working with them to raise needed capital. His metrics-driven insights enable companies to innovate and attain maximum value in competitive markets. A number of these enterprises have attained successful acquisitions and initial public offerings (IPO).

Mr. Holland served as Kana Communications’ senior vice president of sales and global operations in the late 1990s, where he built a global team of 300 and brought more than 1,000 customer accounts on board. Reporting to the CEO and corporate board, he grew sales from $10,000 to $140 million annually in four years, which led to $9 billion in market capitalization and an early IPO.

Paul Holland is a longtime contributor to CNBC and has appeared on numerous news programs discussing topics related to Silicon Valley and the VC industry. In 2022, he and his wife provided the largest cash contribution in history to his alma mater, James Madison University. This led to the admissions and international curriculum building being renamed Holland Yates Hall.
